A Roundtable Discussion with Chief Medical Officer for Australia

Professor Michael Kidd AO

21 January 2026

The Australia-UK Chamber of Commerce hosted an exclusive healthcare roundtable featuring Australia's Chief Medical Officer, Professor Michael Kidd AO.

The event brought together senior executives from across the health, medical research, pharmaceutical, biotech, digital health, and clinical services sectors in Australia and the United Kingdom, alongside senior government and institutional stakeholders. The roundtable fostered open dialogue on shared priorities, emerging challenges, and new opportunities across the Australia-UK healthcare landscape.

The evening opened with remarks from Elisabeth Bowes PSM, Acting High Commissioner of Australia to the United Kingdom, followed by a conversation led by Professor Kidd, who shared insights from his extensive experience as a general practitioner, health researcher, and former President of both the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the World Organization of Family Doctors.

Our special thanks to Elizabeth Vega OBE and the team at Informed Solutions for partnering with us to make this important discussion possible.
