From Transactional to Transformational: Rethinking University-Industry Partnerships Roundtable

5th February 2026

The Australia-UK Chamber of Commerce hosted a roundtable exploring the evolution of university-industry partnerships from transactional to transformational.

The event brought together senior leaders from academia, industry, government, and research institutions across Australia and the UK. Participants discussed how to reshape collaboration, connect sectors more effectively, and create new opportunities for innovation and impact across the Australia-UK corridor.

Our special thanks to Victorian Agent General Tim Dillon, RMIT Europe's Executive Director Marta Fernandez for facilitating the discussion and Professor Colin Picker, who shared insights on building sustainable partnerships that deliver mutual value and address complex global challenges.

Thanks to Gemma Wareham from National Australia Bank for hosting us.
