Energy Sustainability - UK Minister Update

In collaboration with National Australia Bank and BHP, the Australia-UK Chamber of Commerce hosted a breakfast event addressing the UK Government's strategies for energy security and achieving net zero.

The event began with opening remarks from the Australian High Commissioner to the UK, Hon. Stephen Smith, followed by a compelling keynote speech by Sarah Jones MP, Minister of State (Department for Energy Security and Net Zero), and Minister of State (Department for Business and Trade)

The panel discussion, moderated by Helen Beatty of Herbert Smith Freehills, featured insights from:

  • Mark Dooley, Global Head, Macquarie Asset Management Green Investment, Macquarie

  • Darryn Quayle, Vice President, Business Development, Worley

  • Jared Kuehl, Head of International Relations and Portfolio Growth, BHP

The session concluded with an engaging Q&A and closing remarks by Jason Cox, Coverage Head of Infrastructure Europe at NAB followed by a networking session.
