In April 2018, Australia’s Gold Coast will host one of the largest multi-sport events in the world – the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018).
Accompanying the exciting program of sport will be the Trade 2018 Games Time Trade and Investment Program.
Trade 2018 is led by the Queensland Government in partnership with the Council of City of Gold Coast and supported by the Australian Government, with the aim to strengthen trade and investment ties and explore opportunities across the Commonwealth.
Careful planning has taken place to ensure that the upcoming Trade 2018 Games Time Trade and Investment Program encompasses an exciting and beneficial schedule of events that allows participating delegates the exclusive opportunity to engage with high level delegations, government networks and media, and meet with global business leaders.
Delegates will have the opportunity to participate in a broad range of exciting business events and activities from 3 to 16 April 2018 such as forums, business matching sessions, formal events and receptions, networking opportunities and state-wide site visits. In an effort to allow international delegates to make the most of their visit to Australia, events have been scheduled in locations across Queensland including Gold Coast City, Brisbane, Townsville and Cairns.
The Trade 2018 Games Time Trade and Investment Program has been designed to highlight opportunities across key priority sectors including: innovation and entrepreneurship; health and knowledge; food and agribusiness; international education and training; the business of sport; marine manufacturing and craftsmanship; and film and television production.
The pinnacle venue during the Trade 2018 Games Time Trade and Investment Program will be Commonwealth House − serving as an exclusive business hub during GC2018 and hosting the majority of events from across the Program.
