On Thursday 27th January, the Australia-United-Kingdom Chamber of Commerce invited you to hear about the impact of the new Rules of Origin arising out of the Australia-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA), with insights and key learnings shared by representatives from both the UK Department of International Trade and HM Revenue and Customs.
Rules of Origin stipulate how much of a product must originate in the UK to qualify for the lower tariff agreed in this deal when exported to Australia and vice versa. The deal includes flexible rules of origin with minimised paperwork so businesses can take advantage of the new 0% tariffs
Following the signature of the FTA, hear from UK government officials on how differing sectors can take advantage of the newfound opportunities presented to both the UK and Australia.
