Australia Day Gala Raises over £6500 for Bushfire Relief Effort
Over £6500 Raised for Bushfire Relief Effort at the Chamber’s Australia Day Gala
Thank you to those who joined us on Tuesday 28th January for our Australia Day Gala with special guest and speaker Independent London Mayoral Candidate, Rory Stewart OBE to celebrate the Aussie Spirit. Our photo gallery from the evening is now live.
The Chamber is proud to announce that the event and the evening’s silent auction raised over £6500 for the Salvation Army Australia’s Disaster Appeal and WIRES Australia Wildlife Rescue Organisation. Congratulations to our prize winners, Naomi Ross, Chris Murray, Daniel O’Connell, Calliope Lalousis and Natalie West for their contribution to these two charities and special thanks to the generous support of our Members and Partners including Audi, Etihad, Qantas, The Savoy and Westfield for their donation of the evening’s fabulous prizes.
It was a spectacular evening filled with delicious food, Australia wine from Plantagenet, Stone & Wood craft beer and bespoke cocktails by Manly Spirits Co Distillery and Mt Uncle Distillery’s Botanic Australia Gin and a phenomenal performance of the Aussie classic, Waltzing Matilda by the talented Bass Baritone, Jeremy Kleeman.
On behalf of the Chamber network, we would like to thank our Sponsors, CA ANZ and the Government of Western Australia and our host, The Savoy for their support of this event.
In addition to our silent auction, some of our lucky guests received some fabulous door prizes from our wonderful Members and Partners.
