The UK is facing one of the most significant economic crises in its history, with the second quarter showing a 20.4% fall in GDP. The national lockdown and its effects are exerting huge economic pressure and an uncertain timeline to resolving the COVID-19 crisis. Add to this is the spectre of a no-deal exit from the EU at the end of this year and it is clear the UK Government faces unprecedentedly tough choices ahead.

To unpack the economic trends that are unfolding as a result of COVID-19, our expert panel of speakers will look at the following perspectives:

The UK’s economic performance in 2020 and the forward view;

What would constitute effective economic policy for the future in response to COVID-19 and Brexit including the UK Government’s approach to the economic recession and plan for recovery; and

How current economic conditions and Government policies are likely to affect companies operating in the UK.

We hope you can join us to hear this vital update on the UK’s economy in a time of ongoing uncertainty.
