Committing to Climate Change: Opportunities in Victoria
Wednesday 27th October
9:00AM – 10:15AM BST
The Chamber in partnership with the Victorian Government invites you to hear about business opportunities in Victoria, Australia, in renewable energy, which are being driven by the state’s Renewable Energy Target of 50 per cent by 2030 and its target to halve emissions by 2030, as a key step to achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
Victoria is delivering ambitious policies to boost the clean energy economy, through its new Climate Change Framework, Zero Emissions Vehicle Policy and Hydrogen Industry Development Plan, as well as going out to market to bring online at least 600 megawatts (MW) of new renewable energy capacity in Victoria to power the Government on 100% renewable electricity.
In the lead up to COP26 in November, hear from the Victorian Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change and local industry stakeholders on how the state is tackling climate change and creating policy led investment opportunities.
- The Hon Lily D’Ambrosio, Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change and Minister for Solar Homes, Victorian Government
- Alba Ruiz Leon, Managing Director, Cornwall Insights, Australia
- Peter Cowling, Country Head, Australia and New Zealand, Vestas
