The Future of Flying:
What it Means for Australia-UK Travel
Air travel is fundamental to the modern Australia-UK relationship, connecting companies, governments, professionals, tourists and families across our two countries. COVID-19 has created huge challenges for the aviation industry and posed fundamental questions about the future of air travel.
In this session we’ll hear from our expert panel on the future of flying in the short term including the outlook for the resumption of regular Australia-UK travel, what COVID-19 will mean for Australia-UK routing and pricing and the protocols that operators and travellers alike will now face in airports, transit and aircrafts.
We’ll also look ahead beyond COVID-19 to the deeper questions on how the post-pandemic airline marketplace will look including likely changes in how and when we travel, how the aviation industry and travellers will adapt to meet those trends and what this will mean for Australia’s international connectivity with partners countries like the UK.
