In Conversation: The Future of Australia-UK Trade

We are delighted to announce an exclusive ‘In Conversation’ event with the Australian Minister for Trade, Tourism & Investment, Senator the Hon Simon Birmingham and the UK Secretary of State for International Trade, the Rt Hon Elizabeth Truss MP.

On 17th June 2020, the UK and Australia officially launched negotiations for a free trade agreement (FTA). The Ministers will provide an update on the bilateral trade and investment relationship as the two countries look to seize new opportunities in a post-COVID-19 economy.

With two-way trade valued at £16.6 billion in 2019, the Australia-UK FTA offers an unprecedented opportunity to reshape their trading relationship and increase economic activity across the two markets.

We hope you can join us for this fascinating conversation at a crucial juncture in the bilateral relationship.
