GDPR – Are You Ready?

GDPR – Are You Ready?

Join us for a breakfast briefing with practical solutions and examples for businesses highlighted by panelists from Telstra’s Company85, BlackBerry, TCL Corporation, CGI UK and Menzies

On May 25, 2018 the EU is rolling out a far-reaching overhaul of data protection rules. The General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR, is shaking up privacy laws by redefining how information on EU residents is collected, stored, used, processed and deleted by organisations.

With almost two thirds of organisations unprepared for the changes and facing unprecedented non-compliance fines of up to 4% of a company’s annual turnover, our panel will explore the key questions and provide practical advice on:

  • How will GDPR affect your business?
  • How should business map its data footprint and implement change?
  • What are the steps for becoming compliant?
  • How do you build ‘consent’ into your offerings and what does it really mean to ‘erase’ a person’s data from your system?
  • How do you manage data transfer to internal and external stakeholders both in the UK and internationally?

Joining us is:

  • Dirk Heitepriem, Director, Government Relations EMEA, BlackBerry
  • Marc Lueck, CISO, Company85
  • Kylie Grant, Senior Project Manager, Menzies LLP
  • Abigail Dubiniecki, Associate, Henley Business School GDPR Implementation Programme; Specialist, My Inhouse Lawyer
