Matt Williams, Head of EMEA, Telstra
Matt Williams is Head of EMEA for Telstra, based in London.
He is responsible for developing and driving the business strategy for three divisions in Enterprise, Wholesale and Professional services across EMEA, and delivering upon the company’s financial goals.
Matt joined Telstra in 2009 and was most recently Director of Enterprise Accounts for the EMEA region. In this role he was accountable and responsible for retention and sales growth for the Enterprise customer base.
Matt has over two decades of experience in telecommunications, digital transformation and technology markets, having held several senior sales leadership positions throughout his career.
Professor Mark Kleinman, Director of Analysis, Policy Institute, Kings College London
Mark is Professor of Public Policy and Director of Analysis at the Policy Institute. He has been a government adviser at the No. 10 Strategy Unit, a civil servant, and a policy director for all three London Mayors. His interests include the economy and business, migration, urban governance, regulation, digital innovation and technology, and UK-EU relations.
He has held academic posts at the University of Cambridge and the London School of Economics, as well as a chair in international social policy at the University of Bristol. In 2015 he was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Toronto.
He is author or co-author of four books, including A European Welfare State? (Palgrave), Working Capital: Life and Labour in Contemporary London (Routledge) and more than 100 published papers. He has spoken at conferences in the UK, Europe, the US, Canada and Japan, and has been a consultant to the OECD and the European Commission, as well as major UK and global companies.
Professor Mischa Dohler, Professor in Wireless Communications, Kings College London
Mischa Dohler is a Professor in Wireless Communications at King’s College London, driving cross-disciplinary research and innovation in technology, sciences and arts. He is a Fellow of the IEEE, the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Royal Society of Arts (RSA), the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET); and a Distinguished Member of Harvard Square Leaders Excellence.
Mischa is a serial entrepreneur with five companies; composer & pianist with five albums on Spotify/iTunes; and fluent in 6 languages. He acts as policy advisor on issues related to digital, skills and education. He has had ample coverage by national and international press and media.
He was the Director of the Centre for Telecommunications Research at King’s from 2014-2018. He is the Cofounder of the Smart Cities pioneering company Worldsensing, where he was the CTO from 2008-2014. He also worked as a Senior Researcher at Orange/France Telecom from 2005-2008.
