On Tuesday 3rd March, the Chamber celebrated #internationalwomensday2020 as part of our D&I Series with Telstra, featuring the brilliant Pamela Hutchinson, Global Head of D&I for Bloomberg.
Our guests were treated to fascinating insights on how to drive a truly #inclusive workplace. While the conversation was subject to Chatham House rule, some of the key themes included:
- Workplaces need to create the space for open and honest conversations to unearth assumptions and address biases.
- Organisations need to drive D&I from the top and embed practices across leadership in every business unit.
- If D&I is truly a priority, it needs to be resourced like any other business function with clear targets, accountability and regular progress assessment.
