Building a More Inclusive Organisation | with Telstra’s Alex Badenoch

Building organisational diversity

Australia-UK Chamber Women’s Event:
Building a More Inclusive Organisation

in conversation with Alex Badenoch, Group Executive Human Resources, Telstra

The studies are in – there’s an increasing recognition that company diversity matters, not just as a ‘nice to have’ but to drive a stronger bottom line*. But diversity and inclusion don’t just happen, they need to be built.

Join us to hear from Alex Badenoch, Group Executive Human Resources for Telstra, who leads the workforce design, planning and culture for more than 36,000 employees at Australia’s largest telecommunications company. Alex will share Telstra’s transformation journey and speak about their six-point plan for building gender diversity through:

  • Driving a 50/50 recruitment initiative
  • Creating a flexible workplace environment
  • Closing the gender pay gap and ensuring equal reward
  • Supporting women to build strong cross-organisational networks
  • Ensuring senior sponsorship for the diversity agenda including male champions
  • Setting targets and measuring success

Alex will then be joined by Melissa Brown, Head of Marketing for Telstra, for an interactive conversation on building inclusion and diversity.

Networking to follow formalities.
