Michael Blythe, Chief Economist, Commonwealth Bank of Australia

Michael is the Chief Economist for the Commonwealth Bank. In this role he is responsible for monitoring, analysing, and forecasting trends in the Australian economy, financial markets and domestic monetary policy. Michael joined the Commonwealth Bank in late 1995. Prior to this he spent 13 years in various roles within the Economic Group of the Reserve Bank of Australia.

 

Richard Grace, Chief Currency & Rates Specialist, Commonwealth Bank of Australia

Richard Grace is the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA)’s Chief Currency and Rates Strategist and Head of International Economics. He has been with the CBA for more than 12 years. Richard has more than 25 years’ work experience as a currency strategist and economist, including two years working in London. He holds a Bachelor and Masters degree in Economics from Macquarie University, where he also spent some time working in the Asia Pacific Research Institute. Richard is also a current Honorary Associate at the University of Technology Sydney and part of the Commonwealth Investment Advisory Committee.

 

Chris Williamson, Chief Business Economist, IHS Markit

Chris has 25 years of experience as a professional economist and has played a major role in the development of PMI surveys throughout this time, starting with the firm’s first manufacturing PMI in 1992. The PMI business now encompasses all major economies and the surveys are commonly cited as some of the most important sources of economic information available to central banks, financial markets and business decision makers.

 

Bronwyn Curtis OBE, Board Member, Australia-United Kingdom Chamber of Commerce and Chairman, JP Morgan Asian Investment Trust

Bronwyn Curtis OBE is the Chairman of the JP Morgan Asian Investment Trust PLC and a Non-Executive Director at Scottish American Investment Co PLC and Mercator Media Ltd. Bronwyn’s previous roles have included Head of European Broadcasting at Bloomberg LP and Chief Economist for Nomura International.
